Our Programmes

A quarterly scheme for nursing widows whose babies are below two years. Each quarter, sixteen widows are selected from around Niger State and given baby needs like: dipper, baby foods, baby dresses, grains for the mother, fabrics for the mother, and beverages for the mother. This scheme took-off on 12th January, 2020.

This activity predates the Maituwo Charity Foundation. It first started under Madarasatul Nurul Islam, Abdullahi Sakiwa Memorial School about twenty years ago. Then it was transferred to Khadija Sakiwa Da'awah Centre in 2014. With the inauguration of the Maituwo Charity Foundation (MCF) on 12th January, 2020, all charity activities have been fully transferred to the Board of Trustees of MCF.

Maituwo Charity Foundation solicits for slots from private schools in Minna to grant admission slots which are in turn allocated to children of indigent women, especially those whose husbands are dead. Chief sponsors include Baiwa International School, Minna, Capital Sehoot, Minna and Legends International School, Minna. Also, individuals bring school items for distribution to children who are in school but lack study materials.

Many parents in Nigeria find it difficult to pay for Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), National Examinations Council (NECO), West African Examinations Council (WAEC) examinations which qualify them into the Nigerian Universities. Khadija Abdullahi Sakiwa helps to off-set these payments, and it is now an activity of the MCF.

This usually comes as offers by centres engaged and individuals asking for women and the poor to be nominated for training free. It is a means of empowering the less privileged people to acquire skills for the betterment of their lives.
